The Ministry of Resilience and Preparedness (MSSB) is responsible for preventing, withstanding, and managing major accidents, crises, disasters, and other incidents that challenge the fundamental functions of society, in close cooperation with the responsible sectors,
MSSB is tasked with supporting, across and in collaboration with the various sectors, a unified direction as well as cross-sectoral requirements and standards for resilience-building and emergency preparedness planning within individual sectors. This also includes advising and communicating with authorities, businesses, and the public. MSSB is also responsible for a number of operational functions.
The Ministry of Resilience and Preparedness consists of the ministerial department, The Danish Resilience Agency and the Danish Emergency Management Agency, as well as Danish Decommissioning and the Danish state pilotage, DanPilot.
